Fate

Vincent Van Gogh once said “I am not an adventurer by choice but by fate.”

So this is my life, this is my adventure because by some twist of fate I was born and by a stranger twist of fate I decided to write about it.

If fate was weaving my life, what would the tapestry of my journey look like? I would hope it would have a sweet snowflake in it like the one above. I think I like this tapestry more than others because of the almost tribal sharpness in the ink and its Celtic flare.

I think I can see the spots where the pain pierced my heart and the places my tears of joy ran freely. The blue is almost the same shade as my son’s eyes.

Question for the parents out there: How do you think your children see the world? How do you think or hope that they see you and your actions? Most importantly have you taken your child on an adventure today?
